Race report - Shenington Superprix - July 2016
The weekend we were looking forward to all year - running both boys - was, well, "character building"
The weekend we were looking forward to all year - running both boys - was, well, "character building"
A continuing struggle with pace and an unwanted confrontation during Saturday practice.
A slow Saturday, and an "eventful" Sunday didn't serve for the best Superprix warm up
Promising practice testing a new engine. The race ... not so much! A lesson on checking your kart properly, but we had some very welcome help from a great circuit.
From slowest, to fastest, to as expected.
First impressions, and a throwaway comment from Will that tempted fate
A weekend of PBs for Will, some excellent driving, a display of determination and ... one silly (but inconsequential) mistake.
Budget talk, and numbers.
A day of personal bests balanced by kamikaze novices and a trip to the paramedics and a day of missed opportunities.
Four seasons in one day, a first pole position, flying lessons, a new PB and a first visit to the Clerk.
Whatever sport you choose, expectations have to be sensible. It's a no brainer that everyone seems to miss.
Rissington round 2. A best place finish, new PB and some new people.
A race of attrition. Our attrition, unfortunately.
We did ARKS for two boys at two different circuits.
